The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for a bridge project in Polk County.
The work will include construction of a bridge and approaches over a tributary of Hill Creek on Davistown Road, just off Highway 113 south of Taylorsville.
Wilson Construction Management was the low bidder at just over $1.4 million.
The project will include an off-site detour and is scheduled to be completed March 31, 2028.
