Woman charged with child cruelty
A West Rome woman was arrested at her Rooney Road residence on Thursday and charged with 1st-degree cruelty to children.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
33-year-old Alexisis Paradise Hernandez struck a child multiple times with her hand, causing bruises to the victim’s thighs and buttocks.
Two arrested for possession of cocaine
The execution of a search warrant at a home on Branham Avenue in South Rome ended with the arrest of two people on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
36-year-old Darryl Allen Williams and 73-year-old Veronica Ann Bohannon were found in possession of crack cocaine, digital scales, and packaging materials.
Both Williams and Bohannon are charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Woman charged with felony marijuana possession
A South Rome woman was arrested on Thursday on a felony count of possession of marijuana.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Shastoni Rikole Burge was found with two ounces of marijuana at her residence on Pennington Avenue.
