Woman accused of impersonating crime victim
A Shannon woman is accused of posing as the victim of a crime, and then asking that the charges against a defendant.
According to an arrest warrant:
35-year-old Crystal Mercedes Jacome signed the victim’s name to a Floyd County District Attorney’s Request for Action form that stated the defendant did not actually harm her.
She then submitted the document via a fake Gmail account that she created in an attempt to appear to be the actual victim.
Jacome is charged with false statements and writings.
Woman charged with burglary
A Cedartown woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Sunday, charged with 2nd-degree burglary, theft by taking, and criminal trespass.
According to jail records:
48-year-old Natisha E. McDonald entered a building at 20 Shorter Industrial Boulevard and took property belonging to the victim.
Man charged with terroristic threats and acts
A Rome man is facing charges following a disturbance on Heathrow Drive in the Beech Creek subdivision.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
32-year-old Anthony Jared Eirick went onto a neighbor’s property, while intoxicated, and began yelling vulgar language.
He then threatened to kill the victim and kicked her vehicle, before throwing a large, metal barrel at another vehicle.
The incident was witnessed by four juveniles.
Eirick is charged with terroristic threats and acts, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and public drunk.
