Report: Man pointed gun at another man
A Rome man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following his arrest on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
23-year-old Jordan Lee Buttram pointed a gun at another man on Ashland Park Boulevard.
He was also found with four vapes containing a controlled substance and a small amount of marijuana.
Buttram is additionally charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with felony shoplifting
A Trion man was arrested on Tuesday at Belk’s in Mount Berry Square Mall on a felony theft by shoplifting charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Heath Andrew Kirk walked out of the store with $546 in merchandise and was then found with an unnamed prescription drug.
Kirk is also charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drugs not in the original container.
Man charged with felony theft by taking
A Man from Cleveland, Tennessee, has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with theft by taking.
According to the warrant:
41-year-old Nicholas Alexander Lewis entered a locked property at 4065 Martha Berry Highway by destroying the cross cable tie.
He then stole an Aluma 2016 trailer valued at $6,500.
The incident occurred back in September.
